Frequently asked questions
1. How much does the package cost?
The early bird price for the entire package is US $2,500. If you register after August 31, the price is US $2,900.- It includes all the services listed in www.tangomaria.com/ba-beach-tango-immersion?lang=en both in Buenos Aires and in Colonia.
2. How do I register?
To secure your slot you will need to pay the initial non-refundable deposit (US $500) either through PayPal, (link available on www.tangomaria.com/ba-beach-tango-immersion?lang=en), check, or via bank transfer (mailing or bank information would be sent upon request).
Any remaining balance(s) due must be paid by October 31st.
3. Is airfare included?
No, airfare is not included in the package. An average flight to BA from any major city in the USA is approximate U$S 1000 depending on connections and carriers. You can find good travel deals on Kayak.com, Travelocity.com or bookings.com.
4. What are the best times to arrive and depart from BA?
The activities of the BA & Beach Tango Immersion begin the evening of December 4th. Most flights to Buenos Aires are overnight and land in the morning, so arrival should be planned for December 4th or sooner.
Departure should be planned for December 15th, unless you want to extend your stay in Buenos Aires or take an optional trip to the Iguazú falls. Please e-mail us for information regarding any of these options.
5. Is it possible to book additional days/nights and or side excursions with you?
Yes! Just let us know what it is you are planning, and we can create an itinerary either before or after the group immersion dates. See Maria’s Private Immersion Tour package for other ideas and pricing.

6. What airport should I fly into?
Most international flights to Buenos Aires land at Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini, usually referred to as “Ezeiza” (Airport code: EZE).
Some carriers, such as LATAM and Aerolíneas Argentinas might offer the option to land in Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery (Airport code: AEP), but that means you’ll need to make a connection either in Sao Paolo, (Brasil) or Santiago de Chile, (Chile) to clear immigration.
7. Are there going to be enough leaders / followers to practice with in the workshops and to dance with at milongas?
We’re aiming at a fairly equal number of leaders and followers in the group, but if numbers don’t match, we will provide enough assistants in class to make sure everyone practices the material that is being taught, and partner rotation will be encouraged in all classes.
Taxi dancers to accompany guests to milongas can be arranged upon request. Contact me via email for pricing packages.
8. Is there any discount if I choose double accommodation?
Yes, if you’re traveling with a roommate or partner, both guests get a 10% discount off the final price, (US $250 if registered before August 10, US $290 if registered after the early bird expiration).
9. What is the level of the group?
Although we cannot guarantee that everybody will be at the same stage of their learning curve, we’re aiming at a group of intermediate – advanced intermediate dancers. However, the material taught in class will always advance progressively, beginning with basic technique and warm ups, into the more refined movements that allow us to work with more advance dancing techniques.
10. In what language will classes and activities be presented? Do I need to know Spanish?
Every class and activity will be taught and guided in English.
